Trucks to skyrocket in Sydney's inner west due to transport projects

A very interesting article by Matt Sullivan in the Sydney Morning Herald today examining the terrible traffic congestion impacts to come from the combined construction of the WestConnex, metro rail projects, the Western Harbour Tunnel and port expansion at Glebe Island.


Truck movements are predicted to increase nine-fold to about 4,200 movements a day in and around The Bays Precinct. That will affect major arterial roads including the City West Link, ANZAC Bridge and Victoria Rd, affecting tens of thousands of Sydney commuters.
